Members of the jury: Marcus Weiss (CH) and Pavle Merku (SLO/IT) were unable to attend the competition due to health problems.
1st category (born in 1991 and younger):
1st prize: Matija Marion (1991), Divača, Slovenia The award for best performed composition by Slovene composers went to: Matija Marion from Divača, Slovenia. 2nd category (born in 1987 and younger):
1st prize: Oskar Laznik (1987), Hrastnik, Slovenia The award for best performed composition by Slovene composers went to: Oskar Laznik from Hrastnik, Slovenia. “City of Nova Gorica award” The award for best performed piece of music selected by the competitor in 2nd category was received by: Oskar Laznik from Hrastnik, Slovenia. 3rd category (born in 1981 and younger):
Finalists: Winners of 3rd category:
1st prize: Rok Volk (1983), Pragersko, Slovenia The award for best performed composition by Slovene composers went to: Rok Volk from Pragersko, Slovenia. .................................................................................................................................. The Society of Slovene Composers had presented winners in each category with practical prizes: a CD from the ‘Ars SlovenicA’ collection chosen by the winners, and the publication ‘Composers traces after 1900’ written by Črt Sojar Voglar. Sloway Music Editions and Music Association had awarded winners in each category with practical prizes (a collection of Slovenian saxophone music) in the amount of 125 €. ..................................................................................................................................
