Music from the Gardens of St. Francis
Glasba z vrtov Svetega Frančiška
At the church and hall of the Franciscan Monastery at Kostanjevica near Nova Gorica
14th season
May – July 2008
The 14th consecutive season of ‘Music from the Gardens of Saint Francis’ will take place in the pleasant atmosphere of the Franciscan Monastery in Kostanjevica nad Novo Gorico. This musical event has become increasingly popular among music lovers on both sides of the Italian-Slovenian border.
We will once again be enhancing the spiritual power of this extraordinary cultural-historical site with music. During seven selected musical evenings, we will continue our presentation of Slovenian music with an emphasis on musical creations from the Goriško region, Friuli, and the Italian border region. We will give the opportunity to Slovenian musicians – and especially to young talents grown in our own Gorica gardens on both sides of the border – to perform on the concert stage.
“Music directs man to the depth of his own soul.” Allow us to direct you there when you join us on these thrilling evenings of music.
